Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical & Engineering Training Admissions 2012
Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical & Engineering offers career training to candidates in Vessel Navigator and Marine Fitter Trades which have been introduced by Directorate General of Employment & Training, Ministry of Labour, New Delhi under Craftsman Training Scheme of NCVT.
Courses:
Applications in the prescribed form are invited from eligible candidates for admission
to the above courses through entrance examination to be held on 24th June 2012 at
Kochi, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Kolkota, Delhi, Bhubaneswar & Bombay. If sufficient
candidates are not available in particular centre, the next nearest centre will be allotted for
appearing Entrance examination. Further, the selected candidates will be paid Rs.700/-
(Seven hundred) per month as stipend.
Qualification:-
(i) Essential: Pass in 10th Standard (SSLC) or equivalent examination with 50% in
Maths and Science separately. The candidates who are appearing 10th Examination
during March 2012 are also eligible to apply. However the selection will be made only
through marks obtained in 10th and Entrance examination.
(ii) Desirable: One year fishing experience. (iii) Age: 16 to 20 years as on 1st August
2012 candidates born between 02.08.92 and 02.08.96 (both days inclusive) are only
eligible to apply. Upper age limit is relaxable to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe
candidates by 5 years.

530 001 by Demand Draft for Rs 300/- (Rs.150/- for SC / ST) drawn in favour of
Sr.Administrative Officer, CIFNET payable at Kochi-682 016 with a self addressed
stamped (Rs. 15/-) envelope, or on cash payment at CIFNET Office upto 18th May 2012.
Application can also be downloaded from our website and applied with DD for the above
said amount. Filled in applications with necessary particulars should reach the Director,
CIFNET, Fine Arts Avenue, Kochi-682 016 on or before 18th May 2012. Duly filled
application submitted or sent to the Unit offices of CIFNET at Chennai and Visakhapatnam
will not be accepted. Applications sent through Fax or E-Mail also will not be treated as
valid and will be rejected.
