Ph.D. programme of Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research (AcSIR) - August 2012 Session

CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysore offering admission to Ph.D. programme of Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research (AcSIR)

Applications from eligible Candidates for full-time Doctoral (Ph.D.) Research Programme in Biological / Engineering Sciences for August 2012 session with the following eligibility requisites:

(1.) Ph.D. (Science): A Master's Degree in Science or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Medicine with good academic record and have a valid and tenable National level Fellowship (JRF/SRF of various funding agencies like CSIR, UGC, DST, DBT, ICMR and others).

(2.) Ph.D. (Engineering): A Master's Degree in Engineering / Technology / or equivalent with good academic record and have a valid CSIR-SRF or equivalent Fellowship.

Prospective Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria are to visit the website of AcSIR [http://acsir.res.in] and http://csir-phd.csio.res.in for details of admission procedures and applying on-line.

Selection :
Selection for admission to Ph.D. programme in Biological / Engineering Sciences of AcSIR at CSIR-CFTRI, Mysore shall be on the basis of Aptitude tests/Interviews of short listed Candidates to be held at CSIR-CFTRI, Mysore. Candidates are advised to visit the AcSIR website for dates of interview in the first week of May 2012.

Project Assistants with a minimum of one year of experience and currently engaged in projects at CSIR-CFTRI as on April 25, 2012 and meeting the requisite academic qualifications are also eligible to apply. Such of these Candidates are to submit to the AcSIR Coordinator of CSIR-CFTRI, Mysore (Dr. M.C. Varadaraj, Head, HRD) a statement of purpose (brief research proposal) along with the recommendation of the proposed guide with whom the Candidate wishes to undertake Ph.D. programme, if selected.
